What is Location?

OOTAY^® uses the mobile phone location services of British telecom operators to locate a mobile phone in real time.

The principle applied is called Cell-Id. It involves identifying what relay (known as BTS or Base) your mobile phone is connected to.

The accuracy thus obtained varies according to the relay density on the territory.

• In an urban area, the average accuracy is from 100 meters to 500 meters.
• In the rural area, the average accuracy is from 500 meters to 5 kilometers.
