OOTAY security

Our privacy procedures have been developed in accordance with Privacy Code of Practice approved by the major UK mobile operators.

We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully in accordance with the UK Data Protection Act 1998. We are committed to safeguarding the privacy of our customers while providing the highest possible quality of service.

In addition to data protection legislation, participants in the UK location services industry - including both location service providers and mobile phone operators - have agreed a Code of Practice with the Home Office for the provision of location services. This Code sets out additional requirements for different types of location services. OOTAY® complies to this Code of Practice as well as to the European law n°2002/58/CE with the following principles :

  1. You must prove your identity in order to use OOTAY® services by receiving your OOTAY® Password by postal mail ; 

  2. Your children are notified by SMS that you have registered them for OOTAY® services ;

  3. Your children must give their permission by sending an SMS with « OK »  from their handset to begin the locations ;

  4. Your children are notified by SMS each time you locate them ;

  5. Your children can stop their location indefinitely by sending an SMS with « STOP » to OOTAY® website ;

  6. You must use a Login and confidential Password to access the location service ;

  7. Your child’s mobile phone number can be registered in only one OOTAY® parent account.
